# Gooroo vs PrepLab

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Gooroo at none against PrepLab's 2. Gooroo also leads on ratings volume (8 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). PrepLab's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PrepLab sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Gooroo asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Gooroo against 5.0 for PrepLab. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gooroo has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Gooroo ships an update every 5 weeks, PrepLab every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
