# Spin Wheel Decisions vs Simple Read

The clearest difference is monetization model: Simple Read at free with in-app purchases against Spin Wheel Decisions's subscription. Simple Read also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and ads (none vs shown). Spin Wheel Decisions's advantage is ratings volume (20K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spin Wheel Decisions sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Simple Read sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple Read holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spin Wheel Decisions has 20K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Spin Wheel Decisions ships an update every 5 weeks, Simple Read fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
