# Open vs NOCAF

The clearest difference is rating: Open at 4.9 against NOCAF's 4.1. Open also leads on ratings volume (18K vs 9). NOCAF's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 60%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Open sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and NOCAF sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Open holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Open has 18K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Open's written reviews are positive against 71% of NOCAF's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Open ships an update weekly, NOCAF every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
