# Audio2Ear vs OneControl Auto

The clearest difference is update cadence: OneControl Auto at monthly against Audio2Ear's every 11 months. OneControl Auto also leads on ratings volume (793 vs 20) and rating (2.7 vs 2.5). Audio2Ear's advantage is review sentiment (21% vs 6%) and iOS requirement (9.2 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OneControl Auto holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OneControl Auto has 793 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Audio2Ear's written reviews are positive against 6% of OneControl Auto's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Audio2Ear ships an update every 11 months, OneControl Auto monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
