# Splash vs ELEC

Splash and ELEC both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 87% of ELEC's written reviews are positive against 50% of Splash's. Splash's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Splash against 5.0 for ELEC. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Splash has 57 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of Splash's written reviews are positive against 87% of ELEC's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
