# Next2Do vs Simple Kanban Board

The clearest difference is rating: Simple Kanban Board at 4.7 against Next2Do's 4.0. Simple Kanban Board also leads on ratings volume (22 vs 1). Next2Do's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 91%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Simple Kanban Board holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Kanban Board has 22 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Next2Do's written reviews are positive against 91% of Simple Kanban Board's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Next2Do ships an update every 6 weeks, Simple Kanban Board every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on June 1, 2026 and September 13, 2026 respectively.
