# Controlax vs Halo OS

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Halo OS at 83% against Controlax's 20%. Controlax's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 26 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Controlax holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Controlax's written reviews are positive against 83% of Halo OS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Controlax ships an update every 6 weeks, Halo OS every 26 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
