# VPN Pro vs SecStream VPN

The clearest difference is ratings volume: VPN Pro at 5.7K against SecStream VPN's 199. SecStream VPN's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and SecStream VPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SecStream VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Pro has 5.7K ratings behind it against 199, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 53% of VPN Pro's written reviews are positive against 60% of SecStream VPN's.

VPN Pro ships an update monthly, SecStream VPN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
