# Wanilla vs GhostSpeech

The clearest difference is rating: GhostSpeech at 5.0 against Wanilla's 4.1. Wanilla's advantage is ratings volume (46 vs 2) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wanilla sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and GhostSpeech sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GhostSpeech holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wanilla has 46 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
