# DPC vs Text

The clearest difference is ads: DPC at none against Text's shown. Text's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 81 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DPC ships an update every 81 months, Text fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
