# WINCH | ونش vs Shahen Captain

WINCH | ونش and Shahen Captain both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of WINCH | ونش's written reviews are positive against 50% of Shahen Captain's. WINCH | ونش also leads on ratings volume (16 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Shahen Captain holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WINCH | ونش has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of WINCH | ونش's written reviews are positive against 50% of Shahen Captain's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 4, 2026.
