# BBguarder vs X

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: X at none against BBguarder's 4. X also leads on ratings volume (3.3K vs 15) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). BBguarder's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BBguarder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. X asks for nothing beyond the download.

X holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: X has 3.3K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 89% of BBguarder's written reviews are positive against 91% of X's.

BBguarder ships an update every 10 days, X every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
