# NBA Top Shot vs SLAM.

NBA Top Shot and SLAM. both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 84% of NBA Top Shot's written reviews are positive against 40% of SLAM.'s. NBA Top Shot also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly). SLAM.'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NBA Top Shot sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. SLAM. asks for nothing beyond the download.

SLAM. holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 448 and 327 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of NBA Top Shot's written reviews are positive against 40% of SLAM.'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NBA Top Shot ships an update weekly, SLAM. monthly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
