# Primalist vs Outliner

The clearest difference is update cadence: Primalist at fortnightly against Outliner's every 2 months. Outliner's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Primalist sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Outliner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Primalist against 4.7 for Outliner. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 58 and 66 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of Primalist's written reviews are positive against 77% of Outliner's.
