# Tots Talk vs CommBoards

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tots Talk at 100% against CommBoards's 33%. Tots Talk also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (11.4 vs 15.6). CommBoards's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (96 vs 9). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tots Talk sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and CommBoards sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tots Talk holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CommBoards has 96 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Tots Talk's written reviews are positive against 33% of CommBoards's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
