# Aero vs Slate Shuttle

The clearest difference is rating: Slate Shuttle at 5.0 against Aero's 4.5. Slate Shuttle also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months) and device support (3 vs 1). Aero's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Slate Shuttle holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Aero's written reviews are positive against 75% of Slate Shuttle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Aero ships an update every 2 months, Slate Shuttle every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
