# ReverseFilm vs ARGear

The clearest difference is rating: ARGear at 5.0 against ReverseFilm's 4.3. ARGear also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 37 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). ReverseFilm's advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ARGear holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ReverseFilm has 17 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

ReverseFilm ships an update every 37 months, ARGear every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
