# Knowunity vs Baobab

The clearest difference is ads: Baobab at none against Knowunity's shown. Knowunity's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (6.4K vs 13). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Knowunity sells 29 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Baobab sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Knowunity against 4.6 for Baobab. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Knowunity has 6.4K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of Knowunity's written reviews are positive against 84% of Baobab's.

Knowunity ships an update every 2 days, Baobab fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
