# Knowunity vs Cogni

Knowunity and Cogni both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of Knowunity's written reviews are positive against 36% of Cogni's. Knowunity also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 10 days) and chart position (#19 vs unranked). Cogni's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Knowunity sells 29 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Cogni sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Knowunity against 4.7 for Cogni. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Knowunity has 9.9K ratings behind it against 1.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of Knowunity's written reviews are positive against 36% of Cogni's.

Knowunity ships an update daily, Cogni every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
