# SMS vs VPN proxy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: VPN proxy at 75% against SMS's 13%. VPN proxy also leads on rating (4.7 vs 2.0) and ratings volume (8.1K vs 2). SMS's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN proxy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. SMS asks for nothing beyond the download.

VPN proxy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN proxy has 8.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 13% of SMS's written reviews are positive against 75% of VPN proxy's.
