# Flashcards! vs Flashtex

The clearest difference is rating: Flashtex at 4.8 against Flashcards!'s 1.0. Flashtex also leads on review sentiment (89% vs 54%) and ratings volume (186 vs 1). Flashcards!'s advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 10 days) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flashcards! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Flashtex sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flashtex holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashtex has 186 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 54% of Flashcards!'s written reviews are positive against 89% of Flashtex's.

Flashcards! ships an update every 5 days, Flashtex every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
