# MagentaTV vs MEGA TV

The clearest difference is monetization model: MEGA TV at free against MagentaTV's subscription. MEGA TV also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). MagentaTV's advantage is rating (3.0 vs 2.7) and ratings volume (23 vs 7). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MagentaTV holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 23 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of MagentaTV's written reviews are positive against 22% of MEGA TV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
