# FXC Control vs SMARTg Home

The clearest difference is rating: SMARTg Home at 4.6 against FXC Control's 2.4. SMARTg Home also leads on ratings volume (181 vs 28) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). FXC Control's advantage is review sentiment (20% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SMARTg Home holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SMARTg Home has 181 ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of FXC Control's written reviews are positive against 0% of SMARTg Home's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FXC Control ships an update every 2 months, SMARTg Home every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
