# Phoring vs OnPhone

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Phoring at 75% against OnPhone's 45%. OnPhone's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (52K vs 5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Phoring sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and OnPhone sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OnPhone holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OnPhone has 52K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Phoring's written reviews are positive against 45% of OnPhone's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Phoring ships an update every 3 weeks, OnPhone fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
