# TRM vs AppBlock

The clearest difference is rating: AppBlock at 4.6 against TRM's 1.0. AppBlock also leads on ratings volume (6.9K vs 2) and chart position (#170 vs unranked). TRM's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AppBlock sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. TRM asks for nothing beyond the download.

AppBlock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AppBlock has 6.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TRM ships an update fortnightly, AppBlock every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
