# Jeni's vs 3LP

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Jeni's at 3.5K against 3LP's 6. 3LP's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Jeni's against 5.0 for 3LP. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jeni's has 3.5K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Jeni's ships an update every 2 months, 3LP fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
