# Jeni's vs Pocket Som

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pocket Som at every 5 days against Jeni's's every 2 months. Jeni's's advantage is ratings volume (3.6K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Jeni's against 5.0 for Pocket Som. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jeni's has 3.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Jeni's ships an update every 2 months, Pocket Som every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
