# SonicBit vs Data Drop

The clearest difference is ads: SonicBit at none against Data Drop's shown. SonicBit also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). Data Drop's advantage is ratings volume (157 vs 7). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SonicBit sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and Data Drop sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for SonicBit against 4.7 for Data Drop. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Data Drop has 157 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of SonicBit's written reviews are positive against 74% of Data Drop's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
