# Hotdesk vs Cloud Drops

The clearest difference is rating: Cloud Drops at 5.0 against Hotdesk's 4.1. Cloud Drops also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). Hotdesk's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cloud Drops holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hotdesk has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hotdesk ships an update every 6 weeks, Cloud Drops every 2 months. Both last shipped on September 30, 2026.
