# Smart Voice Recorder vs ProCorder

Smart Voice Recorder and ProCorder both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of ProCorder's written reviews are positive against 38% of Smart Voice Recorder's. Smart Voice Recorder's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart Voice Recorder sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 3 months and ProCorder sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Smart Voice Recorder against 4.6 for ProCorder. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Voice Recorder has 329 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 38% of Smart Voice Recorder's written reviews are positive against 83% of ProCorder's.

Smart Voice Recorder ships an update every 8 days, ProCorder every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and July 5, 2026 respectively.
