# Background Remover vs Coolpaper − Pattern Wallpapers

The clearest difference is rating: Background Remover at 4.8 against Coolpaper − Pattern Wallpapers's 4.3. Background Remover also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 6) and device support (3 vs 1). Coolpaper − Pattern Wallpapers's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 69%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Background Remover sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Coolpaper − Pattern Wallpapers sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Background Remover holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Background Remover has 11K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Background Remover's written reviews are positive against 100% of Coolpaper − Pattern Wallpapers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Background Remover ships an update every 3 weeks, Coolpaper − Pattern Wallpapers every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
