# Chronica vs SinceRec

The clearest difference is ads: Chronica at none against SinceRec's shown. SinceRec's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 11 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chronica sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SinceRec sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chronica ships an update every 11 months, SinceRec every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
