# STARNow vs Addison Orbit

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Addison Orbit at 67% against STARNow's 11%. STARNow's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 2.7) and ratings volume (135 vs 7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

STARNow holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: STARNow has 135 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of STARNow's written reviews are positive against 67% of Addison Orbit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

STARNow ships an update every 5 weeks, Addison Orbit every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
