# StringNThread vs NoteNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: NoteNote at every 2 weeks against StringNThread's every 4 months. StringNThread's advantage is ratings volume (32 vs 5) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NoteNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StringNThread has 32 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

StringNThread ships an update every 4 months, NoteNote every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
