Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Sourcd at 100% against Bottelio's 0%. Sourcd also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (18 vs 3). Bottelio's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bottelio sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Sourcd asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Bottelio holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sourcd has 18 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Sourcd's written reviews are positive against 0% of Bottelio's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Sourcd ships an update every 2 months, Bottelio every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
