# PRO RGB vs iStar Lighting

The clearest difference is rating: PRO RGB at 2.0 against iStar Lighting's 1.0. PRO RGB also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (25 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PRO RGB holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PRO RGB has 25 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PRO RGB ships an update every 3 weeks, iStar Lighting every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
