# WeirdCam vs Effects Camera

The clearest difference is ads: Effects Camera at none against WeirdCam's shown. WeirdCam's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WeirdCam sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.49 per month and Effects Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WeirdCam ships an update every 3 days, Effects Camera every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 6, 2026.
