# WeirdCam vs Trichromy

The clearest difference is ads: Trichromy at none against WeirdCam's shown. WeirdCam's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WeirdCam sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.49 per month and Trichromy sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WeirdCam ships an update every 3 days, Trichromy every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
