# Block Scout vs Cat Restaurant!

Block Scout and Cat Restaurant! are too close to call on the numbers: across 10 compared parameters — price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. Block Scout sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cat Restaurant! sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cat Restaurant! holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 23 and 47 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Block Scout's written reviews are positive against 96% of Cat Restaurant!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Block Scout ships an update weekly, Cat Restaurant! every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
