# Pathfinder 2e Spell List vs Dnd Character Journal

The clearest difference is rating: Dnd Character Journal at 4.8 against Pathfinder 2e Spell List's 3.7. Dnd Character Journal also leads on device support (4 vs 2). Pathfinder 2e Spell List's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (43 vs 11). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pathfinder 2e Spell List sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Dnd Character Journal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dnd Character Journal holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 43 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Pathfinder 2e Spell List's written reviews are positive against 60% of Dnd Character Journal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
