# NetApp Nexus vs HyNote

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NetApp Nexus at none against HyNote's 14. NetApp Nexus also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). HyNote's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (7.7K vs 9). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HyNote sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. NetApp Nexus asks for nothing beyond the download.

NetApp Nexus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HyNote has 7.7K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NetApp Nexus ships an update every 2 months, HyNote weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
