# Timekettle vs Garmin Messenger™

The clearest difference is rating: Garmin Messenger™ at 4.6 against Timekettle's 2.9. Garmin Messenger™ also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ratings volume (14K vs 495). Timekettle's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timekettle sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Garmin Messenger™ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Garmin Messenger™ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Garmin Messenger™ has 14K ratings behind it against 495, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Timekettle's written reviews are positive against 20% of Garmin Messenger™'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
