# Elgin Smart vs SiecoSmart

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SiecoSmart at 100% against Elgin Smart's 18%. Elgin Smart's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (44 vs 8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Elgin Smart holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Elgin Smart has 44 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of Elgin Smart's written reviews are positive against 100% of SiecoSmart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Elgin Smart ships an update every 12 months, SiecoSmart every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
