# ProDex vs Anime Tracker

The clearest difference is ads: Anime Tracker at none against ProDex's shown. Anime Tracker also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 88%). ProDex's advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 9) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ProDex sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Anime Tracker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for ProDex against 4.7 for Anime Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ProDex has 5K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 88% of ProDex's written reviews are positive against 100% of Anime Tracker's.

ProDex ships an update every 4 days, Anime Tracker fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
