# The Information vs Apptree

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Apptree at none against The Information's 6. Apptree also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). The Information's advantage is ratings volume (77 vs 1) and chart position (#36 vs unranked). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Information sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per month. Apptree asks for nothing beyond the download.

Apptree holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Information has 77 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
