# Tunnel Guard vs CheatVPN

The clearest difference is ads: CheatVPN at none against Tunnel Guard's shown. CheatVPN also leads on review sentiment (62% vs 46%). Tunnel Guard's advantage is ratings volume (694 vs 97) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tunnel Guard sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and CheatVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tunnel Guard holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tunnel Guard has 694 ratings behind it against 97, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Tunnel Guard's written reviews are positive against 62% of CheatVPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tunnel Guard ships an update fortnightly, CheatVPN every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
