# Backgroundia vs Stereoscopic

The clearest difference is ads: Backgroundia at none against Stereoscopic's shown. Backgroundia also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgroundia sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Stereoscopic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgroundia ships an update every 6 months, Stereoscopic every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
