# FiiO Control vs M&D Connect

The clearest difference is rating: FiiO Control at 2.4 against M&D Connect's 2.0. FiiO Control also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). M&D Connect's advantage is ratings volume (124 vs 31). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FiiO Control holds the better App Store score, 2.4 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 31 and 124 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of FiiO Control's written reviews are positive against 16% of M&D Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FiiO Control ships an update fortnightly, M&D Connect every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
