# Apple Knight vs Bad Roads

The clearest difference is rating: Apple Knight at 4.7 against Bad Roads's 4.0. Apple Knight also leads on ratings volume (23K vs 4) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). Bad Roads's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Apple Knight sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Bad Roads sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Apple Knight holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Apple Knight has 23K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Apple Knight's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bad Roads's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Apple Knight ships an update monthly, Bad Roads every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
