# ZenTime vs Time Notes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Time Notes at 75% against ZenTime's 0%. Time Notes also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (13 vs 2). ZenTime's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ZenTime sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Time Notes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ZenTime holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time Notes has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of ZenTime's written reviews are positive against 75% of Time Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ZenTime ships an update every 2 months, Time Notes weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
